New Era - let’s start a conversation:We give our love and respect to the Queen. We mourn the end of an era and face to the sun embrace the start of a new dawn…There is a prophecy which is acknowledged by many indigenous language groups which speaks of ‘Blackfellas & Whitefellas’ dreaming all together - it is called Wrritjin.The prophecy says that the white man would come to these lands and there would be great suffering for a time. Then one day the ‘Blackfellas & Whitefellas’ would stand together to create a healthy and prosperous future for all humanity.
The dreaming has begun for those who’ve already journeyed to the heart.It’s kind of like those cave paintings you, have the ascending white serpent and the descending black serpent. There is no right or wrong, it’s always a choice but it’s the brown serpent that rules this land.Like the the Wu Way, the Middle Ground, or the path of the razors edge between the Yin Yang.Our grandfather was a drover. He knew the tongue, “You gotta take the Middle Road because it’s the fastest way you see.” As a boy we used to take those long bushwalks on them back roads between Wondai and Cherbourg. We learnt a lot about the bush and the culture and values of this land.Together (in an artistic expression /collaboration with @alistairhutton, @nonfungibleterrestrial & @jilda.rose) , alongside with many others who hold this new vision, this dream, the Wrritjin in their hearts, not only for these lands but for all souls of the world, we have channeled this flag as an artistic expression to ask these fundamental questions and to begin to spark a conversation as a Collective:‘Is it time we meet in The Middle?
Is it time we heal our past, forgive our past, honour our past so we can move into a new future - together?
How can we begin to demonstrate this change?
Can we show this healing in an act of sacred symbolism through the of merging our flags?
Is it time we became a Republic?’Because if not now, when?
If not us, who?
If not this, what?

At Everscapes we are going to incourage our staff to take a sickie every now and then. The rules are you have to do something fun. Like, going for a surf, nature walk, beach day or spending the day out with the family. Also you have to film a snippet of your awesome day that will be shared on Everscapes stories.
